能代七夕 天空の不夜城
2013年、約1世紀の時を超えて復活した能代七夕「天空の不夜城」。中世能代を治めた檜山城主、安東愛季(ちかすえ)に因んだ高さ日本一の「愛季-ちかすえ-」(24.1m)。江戸時代、名古屋城を模した城郭灯籠を初めて作った大工宮腰嘉六に因んだ「嘉六-かろく-」(17.6m)。天にまで届く2基の城郭七夕灯籠が街を練り歩く姿は正に圧巻です! Tenku no Fuyajo is an annual festival in Noshiro city. It features one of Japan’s tallest lantern floats towering at 24.1 meters! This float, along with a few others are pulled down the main street by locals every year.

2020年8月3日(月)4日(火)に開催を予定しておりました、能代七夕 天空の不夜城は、新型コロナウイルス感染症の状況を考慮し、開催を見送ることといたしました。 It was scheduled to be held on August 3rd and 4th, 2020, but has been canceled due to COVID-19.

Tenku no Fuyajo is an annual festival in Noshiro city. It features one of Japan’s tallest lantern floats towering at 24.1 meters! This float, along with a few others are pulled down the main street by locals every year.
Enjoy this ancient tradtition, and feel the energy of the local people from a reserved front-row seat. In addition, feast on a dinner prepared with Akita specialities at Kaneyu before the festival begins. Kaneyu is a cultural property characterized by its Japanese-style architecture made with 200-year-old Akita cedar.
